Outpatient Services

The Renfrew Center offers Outpatient Services for adolescents and women who are in emotional distress or experiencing a life transition. Renfrew therapists are experienced, dedicated professionals with expertise in women's issues and women's mental health care.

Our full range of services include:

A thorough assessment of needs, strengths, and treatment options. Individual and family therapy, psychiatric consultation, nutritional assessment, and counseling. Art (and movement) therapies are also offered in some locations. Group therapy, both short- and long-term, covers a wide variety of issues including anorexia, bulimia, emotional eating, binge-eating, substance abuse, depression, sexuality, sexual abuse, relationships, family, careers, and life changes. Groups that focus on the special needs of adolescents are also held at many Centers.

Psychoeducational workshops are offered on subjects of special interest to women. Topics may include body image, loss, depression, relationships, living as a single woman, and recovering from sexual abuse.
