Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The Renfrew Center's Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an innovative and dynamic treatment option developed particularly for women who need a strong adjunct to outpatient therapy in a time of crisis. The program also serves as an excellent "step-down" for adolescents and women transitioning from residential or day treatment programs.

The Intensive Outpatient Program meets three evenings a week so that participants can pursue their normal daytime activities. The IOP is entirely group-based and includes interpersonal process, psychoeducational, and expressive psychotherapy components. Participants are encouraged to use the support of the therapeutic community to develop and practice new coping skills. Each session also includes a mealtime group, led by a therapist or nutritionist, designed to address eating and socialization issues.

Intensive Outpatient Program is offered at:
Wilton, CT
Coconut Creek, FL
Charlotte, NC
Ridgewood, NJ
New York, NY
Philadelphia, PA
Radnor, PA
Brentwood, TN
