The Renfrew Center of Tennessee Welcomes New Clinical Supervisor Kendra Gray, Ph.D.

The Renfrew Center today announced the hire of Clinical Supervisor Kendra Gray, Ph.D. In her new position, Dr. Gray will oversee all clinical staff at the Nashville facility.

Prior to joining The Renfrew Center, Dr. Gray maintained a full-time psychotherapy practice with a focus on the assessment and treatment of eating disorders. She provided psychotherapy and psychological assessment to individuals presenting with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma issues, as well as personality, relational and phase of life issues.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Gray to the Renfrew team,” said Beth Sicard, Assistant Vice President of Southeast Operations. “Her experience and expertise in the treatment of eating disorders makes her a valuable asset to Renfrew and the patients we treat.”

Dr. Gray received her Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Auburn University and her master’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Gray completed her post-doctoral residency at Vanderbilt University Psychological and Counseling Center and her pre-doctoral psychology internship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita.

Dr. Gray is a member of the Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee, Academy of Eating Disorders, American Psychological Association, Nashville Psychotherapy Institute and American Dance Therapy Association. Furthermore, she facilitates professional training workshops on the topics of eating disorders and body image. Dr. Gray will be presenting at this year’s Renfrew Center Foundation Conference in November.

The Renfrew Center of Tennessee offers a full spectrum of nonresidential services to women ages 14 and above including a Day Treatment Program, an Intensive Outpatient Program, support groups, individual, family and couples therapy, and nutritional and psychiatric consultation. The variety of programming allows treatment to be tailored to an individual’s needs and provides for a gradual step-back into everyday life.
